Motivated by contributing to understanding the relationship between glaciers and climate evolution, my research focusses on long-term glacier response to past climate variability. I reconstruct glacier chronologies using glacio-geomorphological mapping, cosmogenic-nuclide exposure dating and explore the underlying climate drivers based on other climate proxies and collaborations with glacier and climate modelers. I currently mainly work on Kerguelen Archipelago’s paleoglaciers (49°S, 69°E) to reconstruct paleoclimatic conditions since Marine Isotope Stage 3, as part of my PhD thesis project. I am also interested in the Holocene glacier evolution in other regions in the world (e.g. Greater Caucasus, European Alps, Nepal, South Greenland)
