Teacher-researcher
Based on their work in the library or laboratory, and on personal reflection, teacher-researchers help to enrich their discipline by devoting themselves to fundamental or applied research. As researchers, they help to disseminate scientific knowledge by publishing their work and taking part in conferences and symposia.
As a teacher, he or she develops teaching modules, sits on examination boards, supervises the preparation of doctoral students' theses and monitors master's students' dissertations and placements. They also advise students on their career choices.
