This thesis focuses on the Provençal Urgonian platform (Upper Barremian-Lower Aptian). This thesis attempts to answer a fundamental question: Is it possible to characterise the sedimentary bodies on the Provençal carbonate platform ? if so, what are their geometries ? and what are the processes (stratigraphic and sedimentary) that have enabled their genesis and preservation?
