I am Senior Lecturer at Aix-Marseille University since 2021. I teach a number of courses on environmental issues, including environmental transition, resource management, the circular economy and environmental innovations.

My work on interdisciplinary research relate to eco-design of advanced (nano)materials for the environmental transition. I use a multi-scale approach to assess the interactions between materials and complex natural systems (plants, bacteria, soil, water), with a focus on the physico-chemical properties, reaction kinetics, transfers in the various environmental compartments and the toxicity of advanced (nano)materials. The potential impacts are assessed over the entire life cycle of the material in order to maximise efficiency and minimise risks to the environment and human health.

  • Since 2021 - Senior Lecturer - CEREGE, Aix Marseille University
  • 2013 - PhD in Analytical Chemistry - Subject: Role of physico-chemical properties of nanomaterials on fate and toxicity in plants and microbes - UNC-Chapel Hill, NC, USA
  • 2008 - BSc in Chemistry - Ohio Northern University, OH, USA
  • Biophysical chemistry
  • Synthesis and characterisation of (nano)materials
  • Ageing and exposure in aquatic and terrestrial mesocosms
  • Interactions in complex natural systems (water, soil, plants, organisms)
  • Analytical techniques (elemental chemistry, microscopy, imaging, etc.)
