Building on the success of its first event in 2023, Cerege (the European Centre for Research and Education in Environmental Geosciences) is offering a second edition of its event, the Printemps des Sciences des Technopoles. The event is aimed at secondary school pupils in the southern region.
The event will bring together secondary school students from all over the region for a day of immersion at the heart of the Aix-Marseille technology parks, on the Arbois plateau and the Château Gombert site. The focus for this year's event will be on experimental and observational sciences, innovative companies in the two technology parks and meetings with entrepreneurs.
Schoolchildren will be divided into half classes to take part in half-day visits to laboratories at either l'Arbois or Château Gombert: at l'Arbois, the CEREGE, the IMBE (Institut Méditerranéen de Biodiversité et d'Écologie marine et continentale) and the LCE (Laboratoire de Chimie de l'Environnement). At Château Gombert, the LAM (Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille), the LMA (Laboratoire de Mécanique Acoustique), the IRPHE (Institut de Recherche sur les Phénomènes Hors Equilibre) and the IUSTI (Institut Universitaire des Systèmes Thermiques Industriels); visits to innovative start-ups, speed dating for discussions on careers in science and innovation with researchers, teacher-researchers, technicians, engineers, managers and Technopole staff.
