
Edouard Bardprofessor at the Chair in Climate and Ocean Evolution at Collège de France and a member of CEREGE, was recently elected to the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher LeopoldinaGermany's prestigious National Academy of Sciences.
Founded in 1652, the Leopoldina is one of the oldest scientific institutions in the world, with a mission to address crucial scientific issues of societal significance. The Academy is recognised for its independence, scientific rigour and forward-looking recommendations on major issues, both nationally and internationally.
Edouard Bard joins a list of eminent scientists and continues to gain recognition from the world's leading scientific bodies. He is already a member of the Académie des Sciences (Institut de France), the Academia Europaea, the US National Academy of Sciences and the Royal Academy of Belgium.
Alongside his research and academic activities, Edouard Bard offers courses that are accessible to all. The 2025 lectures from his chair are now available online on his chair's YouTube channel, providing a valuable resource for those interested in the fields of climate and ocean change.
