A manifesto for eco-responsibility at CEREGE

One of the major challenges that the new management of CEREGE has set itself during its term of office is to ensure that the unit makes the transition to an eco-responsible organisation.

Clarifying, optimising and co-constructing are the key words from now on, particularly for the implementation of a collective approach involving new staff practices, changes in usage, tools and resources to be deployed with a common goal: to reduce CEREGE's environmental impact.

The eco-responsibility committee created on 1 January 2024 as a continuation of the "Cellule Verte", which has existed since 2019, has set itself the goal of reducing the environmental impact of the laboratory's professional activities while maintaining, and even improving, the quality of life at work and the quality of scientific production and services.

A manifesto of intent supported by the commission was proposed to all CEREGE staff and voted on 1 February 2024, then validated by the Laboratory Council on 22 March 2024.

A participative process has since been put in place to reduce the environmental impact of our activities by experimenting with changes in practices and co-constructing a charter.

To this end, all CEREGE staff are invited to take part in "experimentation spaces" for changing practices throughout the year:
